A 42-year-old member of the Alyansang Mambubukid ng Gitnang Luzon (AMGL) in Nueva Ecija surrendered to the police on Saturday, Jan. 14.

Col. Richard V. Caballero, acting Nueva Ecija police chief, said a special intelligence operation resulted in the voluntary surrender of the AMGL member under the command of Nicomedes Ortiz.

The surrenderer yielded one homemade caliber .38 revolver without serial number and three bullets and is undergoing debriefing and tactical interrogation at the Jaen police station.

Caballero appealed to the remaining members of the group to return to the fold of the law as they have been fighting for nothing in their nonsense crusade.
