Las Piñas LGU conducts responsible parenthood activity


More than 100 women attended the responsible parenthood activity conducted by the Las Piñas city government on Friday, Jan. 13.

According to Mayor Imelda Aguilar, members of the City Health Office (CHO) held lectures and seminars for responsible parenting and family planning in Barangay Talon covered court.

Aguilar said during the activity, more than 100 women of reproductive age were given basic health education to improve the health of every family through proper family planning and during pregnancy.

She said pregnant women were also given vitamins for the healthy growth and development of their babies.

The mayor said some of the participants were also given progestin-only implants that will protect them from unwanted pregnancy for three years.

Aguilar said the activity is also a priority project of her administration and Vice-Mayor April Aguilar to safeguard the health of women in the city.
