Isabela governor vows rice subsidy for tanods, teachers

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – Gov. Rodito T. Albano III vowed to provide a monthly 10-kilogram rice subsidy to barangay tanods or watchmen and public school teachers in this province this year.

A report from the Isabela provincial information office said Albano made the pledge during the distribution of scholarship allowances.

He also distributed vegetable seedlings and sacks of rice to 125 tobacco farmers and 926 Bojie-Rodito Opportunities for Education (BRO-Ed) scholars in Delfin Albano amounting to P3,625,000.

All tanods will be given 10 kilos of rice beginning this month. I will give rice to public school teachers in April or May. Nobody should go hungry in Isabela, Albano said.

Albano is also eyeing to distribute rice to every family so that nobody would go hungry in Isabela.
