After historic finals return, Blacklist aims to cement legacy by winning M4 title

Blacklist International may have made history as the first and only team to make it back to the grand stage of the M-series after taking down ECHO in the upper bracket finals but the Filipino champions are nowhere satisfied with what they have done so far in the M4 World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Blacklist head coach Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza bared that the reigning titlists are craving for more piece of history as they also try to become the first back-to-back kings in the world stage.

And if they do, Bon Chan felt that it would further cement their legacy as one of the best teams ever built in the history of Mobile Legends esports.

“I think if we get this M4 World Championship, this will cement the legacy of Blacklist International. We will become the best team that was ever built in ML:BB history,” said Bon Chan after his team pulled off a 3-2 come-from-behind win over fellow PH representative ECHO.

Unlike last year when they had to climb their way to the finals through the lower bracket, Blacklist looked solid in its upper bracket run after taking down formidable teams like RRQ Akira, RRQ Hoshi and ECHO along the way.

The players are likewise ecstatic about the historic feat although they are still keeping their sights on the bigger prize ahead.

“Sobrang saya na meron na naman kaming shot na mag-back to back tapos sobrang saya rin kasi sobrang intense nung game e, parang sobrang refreshing nung nanalo kami kasi sobrang intense nung laban,” said M3 MVP Kiel “Oheb” Soriano.

“Sobrang saya kasi first time ‘to para sa aming lahat. Tapos ayun, may chance na mag-back to back champion kami sa worlds so kami pa lang makakagawa nun kaya sobrang saya,” said star midlaner Salic “Hadji” Imam.
