5 arrested in P809,200 shabu bust in Taguig 


Buy-bust operations conducted by the police resulted in the arrest of five suspects and the confiscation of P809,2000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in Taguig on Jan. 12 and 13.

Operatives from the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit together with the Taguig police and other personnel conducted an entrapment operation on Jan. 13 at Ilang-Ilang, South Signal, Taguig.

Arrested in the operation were Esmael Guialodin, 31; Javier Volante, 21; and Angelo Pogoy , 25, all tagged by the police as high value individuals; and Anthony Moreno, 23.

The police seized six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 104 grams with a total value of P707,200 and P500 bill used as buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects were brought to the SPD and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

On Jan. 12, operatives from the Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation at Nightingale Bend, Bay Breeze Executive in Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig that resulted in the arrest of two drug suspects and confiscation of P102,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Arrested were identified as Jerry Maya, 52, and Duane Salonga, 37.

The police seized six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 15 grams valued at P102,000 and two P100 bills used as buy-bust money.

The suspects will also be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165.
