P1-M shabu seized in Laguna buy-bust


KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL, Santa Cruz, Laguna – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized shabu valued at P1 million in a buy-bust operation on Thursday, Jan. 12, in Biñan City, this province.

Laguna police provincial director Col. Randy Glenn Silvio identified the suspects as Biñan residents “Beverly” and “Jun Jun.”

Biñan police chief Lt. Col. Macedonia Jopia said the suspects were arrested by the Biñan City Station Drug Enforcement Unit at around 10 p.m. in Barangay Malaban after they sold suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

Suspects yielded 26 plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated weight of 165 grams and valued at P1,072,500.

The duo is under the custody of the Biñan police and evidence will be submitted to the crime laboratory for forensic examination.

Suspects face drug-related charges. Beverly is considered as a high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade.
