After her viral ‘luxury bag’ content, Filipina teen meets one of Charles and Keith’s founders

Tiktok user Zoe Gabriel got an exclusive tour of the brand’s headquarters

Let’s admit it, some of our favorite fashion pieces come with a heavy price tag. That is why many put in a lot of work, dedication, and money-saving tactics just to get them. Once they got their hands on their much-awaited piece, they can’t help but share the experience online.

That’s what Zoe Gabriel did when her father gifted her with a Charles and Keith tote. On Tiktok, she talked about getting her first “luxury bag,” which, unfortunately, got slammed on the social media platform by many as they are not considering the bag a luxury item.

In another video, the 17-year-old girl responded to the comments by sharing her and her family’s humble start when they came to Singapore in 2010 and continued to say that “an $80 bag may not be a luxury, for me and my family, it is a lot.” After her videos went viral, her inspiring story made its way to the Singaporean brand, which invited her for an exclusive tour of its headquarters and a lunch with one of its founders, Keith Wong.

“Our hearts really went out to Zoe, but we were so impressed with (how gracefully) she handled the situation, displaying wisdom far beyond her years and values that resonated with us greatly,” a spokesperson of the brand told Straits Times. “Our founders believe that our products should spark joy, empower fashion lovers, and give them confidence, something we believe she presented so eloquently in her video and for which we are so grateful.”

On Instagram, Zoe shared some snaps of her visit to Charles and Keith headquarters with her father. During her tour, she got to know more about the brand and described the fun experience as an “amazing opportunity.” She was also seen carrying her tote bag and wearing a pair of black Lucile Satin Platform Sandals, which is a gift from the label. In her caption, she also expressed her gratitude to the people who gave her kindness and support kindness online.

“We had the chance to sit down with Keith and get to know their company a little better,” she posted. Thank you to everybody who has shown their support! Without you, we would never be here.”

“Thanks for visiting! We were happy to have you and your dad at our HQ office,” the brand commented in response. “ hope you enjoyed the lunch and had a meaningful experience with us.”

This is a treat Zoe and her dad truly deserve!
