Solon fulfills election promise to Surigao constituents


Surigao del Sur First District Rep. Romeo Momo completed and turned over two projects, jumpstarting the completion of his campaign promise to improve infrastructure in the province.

“We have officially completed and turned over the concrete road and solar street lights in Panaosawon, Bayabas, Surigao del Sur,” his Facebook post read on Wednesday, Jan. 11.

“This is part of the many projects that I am actively working on, together with the Department of Public Works and Highways,” the official, who was a former undersecretary at the DPWH, added.

He wrote that the projects he spearheaded would be for “the continued development and progress of Surigao del Sur.”

Momo posted several photos showing the turnover ceremony in Brgy. Panaosawon, Bayabas, where his constituents eagerly joined the event.

The lawmaker also posted about the blessing and turnover ceremony of the newly completed Buenavista Multi-Purpose Covered Court last Tuesday, Jan. 10.

“The Buenavista Multi-Purpose Covered Court is one of the many infrastructure projects of the DPWH, in partnership with the Office of the First District Representative,” Momo wrote.

Aside from the congressman, Gov. Ayec Pimentel, Tandag City Mayor Roxanne Pimentel, Tandag City Vice Mayor Eleanor Momo, DPWH 1st District Surigao del Sur District Engineer Ruel Bantugan, and EnP Olivia Bagasbas, City Local Government Operations Officer VI also graced the event.
