"The location of this Compac is very timely which will greatly help the neighboring barangays and our police will respond quickly to any incident," said Azurin.

He said not only residents will benefit from this Compac but also motorists passing to Baguio City.

"The entire PNP is grateful for these programs for peace and order and service to the people,” said Azurin.

“We are also grateful to the officials of the Pugo municipal government and the barangay officials who united for the realization of this project," added Azurin.

The budget for the construction of the building is P3.5 million, of which P3 million will be shouldered by the PNP while the P500,000 will be allotted by the local government.

Azurin said he is ready to provide should the project need additional funds.

“Hopefully before we retire from the service it will be finished and we can come back for the blessing and this is a small gift from us to our superior, retired Lt. Gen. Eugene Martin, who helped us when I was just a junior officer," Azurin added.

Mayor Kurt Walter Martin is also very grateful for Azurin's quick action in their request to have Compac in the area.

"The construction of Compac is very strategic, it will help a lot in peace and order and immediate response in the barangays of Saytan, San Luis, Maosaoas Norte and the police response will not come from the municipality which is too far away," said Martin.
