Newly-paved Zamboanga del Sur road to boost local economy- DPWH

The Department of Public Works and Highways-Region 9 (DPWH-Region 9) said the transport of goods and farm produce to the local markets was improved with the completion of a road project in Zamboanga del Sur.

The upgrading of the Mansanas-Upper Dimorok-Lower Dimorok Road in Molave town costs P32 million.

In a statement, DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao D. Dia said the newly-paved 1.68-kilometer road will reduce travel time to and from the town proper by 10 minutes making the transport of goods and farm produce faster to the local markets.

The project involves the construction of concrete road and provision of drainage and slope protection and riprap as protection from scour and erosion during heavy rains and typhoons.
