Muntinlupa mayor suspends Kalinga Center operations due to applicants' fake documents

Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon has announced the temporary suspension of the Kalingang Munti Action Center after it was found out that applicants submitted fake or falsified documents to get benefits.

The creation of the Kalingang Munti Action Center was Biazon’s first executive order when he assumed office last year.

The center is a one-stop shop that processes requests for financial, medical, and burial assistance. Since it opened in October 2022, the center has assisted nearly 4,000 residents.

However, the mayor said it was discovered that fake documents were submitted by the people.

“Ang malungkot na balita, may nadiskubre tayong gumagamit ng fake o falsified documents para makakuha ng benepisyo mula sa Kalinga Center (The sad news is that we discovered people using fake or falsified documents to get benefits from the Kalinga Center),” the mayor said.

He said, “Dahil rito, pansamantalang naka-suspend ang operations habang nire-review ang past transactions (Because of this, we are temporarily suspending operations while past transactions are being reviewed).”

“Gusto nating natutulungan yung mga totoong nangangailangan ng tulong; hindi yung mamemeke ng dokumento para makakuha ng benepisyo (We want to help those who are truly in need of help; not those who fake documents to get benefits),” he said.

Biazon warned those who fake documents that they will be caught.
