Pasig streets to close for 22nd Bambino Grand Parade on Jan. 15

Several streets and avenues in the city of Pasig will be temporarily closed on Sunday, Jan. 15, in celebration of the 22nd Bambino Grand Parade, the city government announced.

On its Facebook page, the city government said the following streets will be closed:

• Road 1 & 2

• Caruncho Ave. (West Bound)

• M.H. Del Pilar St. (San Nicolas, Sto. Tomas)

• E. Angeles St. (Sto. Tomas)

• Dr. Pilapil St. (Sagad)

• Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue (Kapasigan)

• A. Mabini St. (Kapasigan)

• Plaza Rizal Intersection

• P. Burgos St. (San Jose)

• Lopez Jaena St. (Bagong Katipunan)

• Dr. Garcia St. (Sumilang)

• R. Jabson St. (Bambang, Malinao)

The city government said that the closures will start at 1:00 p.m. onwards and urged affected motorists to follow the alternative routes set by the traffic management unit of Pasig which can be found on its official Facebook page.

The Bambino Festival is considered as the grandest celebration in Pasig City in honor of the young Jesus Christ.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) included the festival in its calendar of activities.
