LOOK: Speaker administers CHR chief's oath

House Speaker Martin Romualdez administered on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 11 the oath of office to Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Commissioner Faydah Dumarpa.

A photo released by the Speaker's office showed the actual oath-taking of Dumarpa, who is a lawyer from Marawi City.

The event took place in Makati City.

Dumarpa is a former political affairs officer in the House of Representatives. In 2012, she became a legislative staff officer in the Senate.

Dumarpa's appointment as CHR chief was made official last. Dec. 28, 2022. Her term will last up to the year 2030.
