The mayor has asked for public understanding for the delayed collection of garbage on Jan. 2 due to the trash that piled up during the holiday celebrations.
Olivarez also said the city government through the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) issued a statement explaining that the delay in garbage collection was due to the transition of the city’s garbage collector from Leonel Waste Management Corporation to Metrowaste Solid Waste Management Corporation.
The mayor also assured the residents that they are doing their best to finish the gathering of trash.
