BMW offers new 2 Series models

218i Coupe M Sport and M240i xDrive Coupe

BMW expands its 2 Series line up with the arrival of two new variants. Promising the same athletic design, sporting prowess, and even more innovative features, these are the 218i Coupe M Sport and M240i xDrive Coupe.

218i Coupe M Sport

The new coupe boasts of a front engine, rear-wheel-drive layout to return a genuine sports car feel. Design-wise, it features a horizontal kidney grille, featuring active air flaps for improved cooling. On either side are full-LED headlights. Augmenting its exterior form are details like an M Aerodynamic Package, M High Gloss Shadow Line, M Rear Spoiler, and 18-inch M Light alloy wheels.

Inside, the vehicle features a driver-focused cockpit design and a modern control panel. The driver gets sport seats and a BMW M leather steering wheel. These are paired with a combination of Alcantara - Sensatec upholstery with Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite M interior trim.

Connecting him to the drive is the BMW Live Cockpit Plus interface, which includes the BMW Curved Display that seamlessly integrates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.9-inch widescreen display running on the latest BMW iDrive software. It comes with smartphone integration compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Other features include the Comfort Access system which makes entry to the vehicle even more convenient. There’s also ambient lighting to set the mood for a relaxed drive or an adrenaline-induced one.

Speaking of andrenaline inducing, powering the vehicle is a TwinPower Turbo 2.0L inline four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission with gearshift paddles. It produces 156 hp and 250 Nm. This also enables the care to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.7 seconds. It’s paired with M Sport Suspension for improved handling.

The BMW 218i Coupé M Sport retails at P3,590,000.00 and comes with the five-year comprehensive BMW Warranty.

M240i xDrive Coupe

The next vehicle is the M240i xDrive Coupé that takes performance a notch up. It’s powered by a TwinPower Turbo 3.0L inline six-cylinder petrol engine that produces 374 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It is mated to a ZF eight-speed steptronic sport automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3-seconds.

The rear-biased xDrive all-wheel drive system combined with the Adaptive M Suspension and BMW M Sport Differential, enable the M240i xDrive Coupé to exhibit razor-sharp handling with a very high level of grip, be it on city roads or on the racetrack.

Making it stand out on the road are exterior features like the M Aerodynamic Package and M Rear Spoiler. It features the BMW M 50 Years Badge, M Sport Brake in Dark Blue Metallic, and 19-inch M Light alloy wheel with run flat tires.

In the cabin, passengers can enjoy features like Leather Vernasca Décor Stitching upholstery in three colors that customers may choose from: Tacora Red, Black, and Oyster.

The BMW M240i xDrive Coupé is priced at P4,890,000 and comes with the industry-leading comprehensive five-year BMW warranty.
