3,335 cops promoted in PRO Calabarzon

CAMP BGEN. VICENTE LIM, Laguna -- A total of 3,335 policemen including Police Commission Officers (PCOs), Police Non-Commission Officers (PNCOs), and Police Officers (POs) were promoted in Police Regional Office – Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) during the simultaneous mass oath-taking, donning and pinning of ranks under Calendar Year 2022 on Tuesday, Jan. 10 here.

PRO Calabarzon regional director Jose Melencio Nartatez administered the oath-taking of 162 personnel from Police Corporals to Police Major who are based in the Regional Headquarters and 120 personnel from the Regional Support Units.

Families, friends, loved ones, and colleagues of the promoted personnel joined and pinned their respective ranks as they celebrated another milestone in their police careers.

Nartatez emphasized that the donning and pinning of ranks is not just a ceremony but a significant reminder that a step higher in ranks means additional responsibility, greater accountability, and the obligation to do good and to use their abilities and resources to help others.

“I urge you to make this meaningful milestone in your career as an opportunity to renew your commitment to serve and protect the people and to uplift the image of our organization,” said Nartatez.

“Let this achievement likewise remind you that you have a special role to play in society and that you have a responsibility to use your authority and influence responsibly and ethically for the greater good,” he added.

The promotion cycle consisted of 3, 215 successful applicants, wherein 275 Police Commissioned Officers and 2,940 Police Non-Commissioned Officers from the Regional Headquarters, different Police Provincial Offices, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4A, and 120 Police Officers from the Regional Support Units who successfully satisfied the qualification standard for promotion for the CY 2022.
