The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) has vowed justice for the policeman who was shot and killed by several men who ganged up on him on Sept. 7 in Taytay, Rizal.
Rizal PPO Director PCol. Rainerio De Chavez said the police official has assured the family of SSg. Allan Guimpayan of Taytay Police Station that justice will be served.
“The Rizal Police will not stop until justice has been achieved for our fallen co-policeman,“ De Chavez said.
He made the pronouncement at the wake of the policeman in Binangonan where Rizal PPO officials met Guimpayan's family.
Guimpayan was shot and killed by four suspects while dining in an eatery in Taytay.
Police records said the four suspects were involved in strings of criminal cases such as violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition among others.
Two of the four of the suspects were arrested following a hot pursuit operation.
The Rizal PPO said Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda, Jr. and Region 4-A Director PBGen. Carlito Gaces have conveyed their condolences to the family of Guimpayan through Col. De Chavez.
