Lotto ticket bought in Las Piñas yields new millionaire

The P111-million Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot was won by a lone bettor from Las PiÃ±as City, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

PCSO said the lucky bettor correctly guessed the 55-50-06-45-12-40 winning number combination during the Sept. 4 evening draw.

The bettor won a total jackpot prize of P111,039,686.

However, as stated in the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, prizes P10,000 and above are subject to a 20 percent tax deduction.

Moreover, under the Republic Act (RA 1169) or the PCSO Charter, if the jackpot prize remains unclaimed, it will be forfeited and will go to the PCSO Charity Fund.

The next Grand Lotto draw will be on Sept. 6.
