The Muntinlupa, Pateros and Taguig local governments suspended afternoon classes on Sept. 4 due to heavy rains.
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon announced the suspension of classes from 11:30 a.m. onwards in all levels in private and public schools in the city.

Muntinlupa Schools Division Superintendent Evangeline Ladines recommended to the mayor to suspend classes in public elementary and high schools.
Biazon said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) raised the alert in Metro Manila from No Alert to Yellow Alert.
The Muntinlupa City government deployed vehicles to provide free rides to students.
The Pateros municipal government suspended afternoon and night classes in all levels in public and private schools due to the continuous rains.
Afternoon classes from preschool to college were also suspended in Taguig.
“Due to expected rainfall and monsoon-like conditions throughout the entire day which is expected to bring possible flooding in low-lying areas in the City of Taguig, afternoon classes in all levels (from preschool to college) in public and private schools are suspended today, September 4, 2023, Monday,” the Taguig City government announced.
