Binondo fire leaves P500,000 worth of damage

Around P500,000 worth of home appliances were reportedly damaged in a fire that gutted an appliances store in Binondo, Manila on Thursday morning, Aug. 31.

The fire was reportedly started at around 6 a.m. in Barangay 291 Tomas Pinpin, corner Martinez in Binondo. 

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire was raised to first alarm at 6:38 a.m., and second alarm at 6:51 a.m.

The fire was put under control at 7:24  a.m., and was extinguished at 7:40 a.m.

The arson investigator said no injuries were reported in the incident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, BFP said.
