The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines is calling on members of the clergy to attend the National Retreat for Priests in November.

CBCP-Episcopal Commission on Clergy executive secretary Monsignor Cesar Vergara said the gathering will serve as an opportunity for priests from different dioceses and congregations to forge friendship and brotherhood with other members of the clergy.
Msgr. Vergara said the gathering also aims to promote and encourage more vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
”Aside from the spiritual aspect of the retreat, the gathering will also highlight our vocation as priests in our respective parishes,” the Church leader said over Radio Veritas.
The National Retreat for Priests will be held at the IEC Convention Center in Cebu City on Nov. 7 to 9.
Msgr. Vergara said registration for the event will be until Aug. 15. The theme for NRP 2023 is ‘Priesthood: A Call to Holiness’ which aims to encourage more vocations to the priesthood.
Attendees will be inspired by Sr. Briege Mckenna, author of the book Miracles Do Happen and known to be gifted with healing and ministry for priests for the last five decades in about 100 countries.
Aside from the retreat, delegates to the gathering will visit the different pilgrim sites in Cebu including the Capelinha de Fatima Replica Chapel, the Venerable Teofilo Camomot Shrine and other popular pilgrim sites in the city.
