Elegant and sporty exterior

The New City will "Elevate Your Drive" with its enhanced safety and cutting-edge features, elegant and sporty exterior, spacious interior, powerful and fuel-efficient driving performance, and Honda SENSING as standard in all variants. The refreshed appearance, new color options, and new variant of the New City are all designed to appeal to various consumers. Sporty and fashionable, the exterior design of the New City provides the car a sleeker, wider appearance and a commanding strong presence on the road. The RS variant also has a freshly constructed RS design front grille with RS emblem and new front and rear bumper with carbon-wrapped lower molding. For safer and better visibility for the driver, all variations come standard with LED daytime running lights and fog lights (LED for the RS and halogen for the V). Meanwhile, the RS has LED headlights, and the other variants have halogen projector headlights. All models feature the Headlight Auto On/Off function, which is a standard across all models. The New City highlights its crisp horizontal character lines on the side, which give the car a dynamic attitude while still radiating elegance. All variations continue to come standard with power adjustable door mirrors and power folding door mirrors with integrated side turn signal lights (RS and V). The sedan has a wider stance and a sportier appearance, thanks to the new side sill garnish, which is distinctive to the RS. The vehicle also has freshly created sporty 15-inch wheels for the S and E variants (silver paint alloy for S and steel with cover for E), and 16-inch alloy wheels (black cut for RS and silver cut for V). The New City's rear features a brand new rear bumper and a dynamic diffuser covered in carbon fiber. The New City also maintains its LED tail lights, LED high-mount stop lamp, and high gloss black trunk spoiler (RS).

Spacious and luxurious interior

The New City emphasizes a comfortable, luxurious, practical, and roomy interior for the driver and passengers. The updated windscreen shape that reduces blind spots in the fifth generation City contributes to its improved visibility. The New City RS now has complete leather seats with a new design and sport pedals for improved comfort and look. The RS also comes with a dark red front panel garnish and high gloss black inside accents. Meanwhile, the V variant features a high gloss black front panel garnish and silver interior accents. The spacious cabin of the New City provides additional shoulder and legroom for a comfortable journey. The New City RS also has 4.2 full color TFT meters with red ambient light instrument cluster. Meanwhile, other New City variants come with white and green ambient light instrument clusters. The New City RS, V, and S models feature an 8-inch advanced touchscreen display audio with a sharper LCD display, an enhanced reverse camera resolution, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Exceptional driving performance

Under the hood, the New City runs with a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine coupled with continuously variable transmission (CVT) for exceptional fuel efficiency, low emissions, and entertaining driving performance. With a maximum output of 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque, the New City engine remains the most potent engine in its segment. Notably, according to the most recent UN-R101 Fuel Economy Testing for highway driving circumstances, the New City earned fuel economy ratings of 22.2 kilometers per liter for all models. The test took place in a controlled environment in Tochigi, Japan.

Safety and advanced features

All New Honda City variants now come with Honda SENSING, an advanced driver-assist safety technology with features that provide comprehensive protection by giving warnings and automatically taking action to reduce the risk of accidents. This initiative is in keeping with Honda's global goal of realizing zero traffic collision fatalities by 2050. The New City has four standard airbags for all grades and additional side curtain airbags for the RS. The New City also kept its top-notch advanced safety features while introducing the new Walk Away Auto Door Lock (RS and V versions) and Rear Seat Reminder. In the most recent ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia) testing, the New City received a 5-star rating.

Pricing and variants

The New City lineup introduces a new variant, the 1.5 E CVT Honda SENSING with a suggest retail price (SRP) of ₱973,000. The other New City variants are the 1.5 S CVT Honda SENSING (₱998,000), the 1.5 V CVT Honda SENSING (₱1,073,000), and the 1.5 RS CVT Honda SENSING (₱1,128,000).
