Over 2,000 students graduate from QCU

A total of 2,121 students from the Quezon City University (QCU) completed their college courses on Tuesday, June 27. Their graduation ceremony was held at the Quezon Memorial Circle.  Among the graduates were 179 students who took Bachelor of Science (BS) in Entrepreneurship; 620 for BS Accountancy; 177 in BS Information Technology; 481 for BS Industrial Engineering; and 664 for BS Electronics Engineering in the university. Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the commencement exercises along with City Engineer lawyer Dale Perral, and QCU President Dr. Theresita Atienza. The mayor congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their chosen careers. Present during the event were Councilors Aly Medalla, Ram Medalla, QCU Board of Regents, deans, instructors, and parents of the graduates. The QCU, formerly known as Quezon City Polytechnic University, is a city government-funded university established in 1994 which aims to provide a comprehensive education that enhances the lives of its students for nation building and as world citizens by strengthening their capabilities and potentials (according to qcu.edu.ph). It offers different courses in education, business and accountancy, computer science and information technology, and engineering.
