Those eagerly awaiting an automatic variant of the top-selling Suzuki S-Presso will finally be rewarded as Suzuki Philippines has just unveiled the S-Presso Automatic Gear Shift. The arrival of the automatic variant proves that Suzuki Philippines takes to heart its customers’ sentiments and demands.

The new S-Presso AGS is the Japanese car manufacturer’s SUV-style compact hatchback. Its bold design and vibrant colors make it an instant standout wherever it goes, whether on the streets of the metropolis or in the laidback roads of the countryside.

The Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) feature is Suzuki’s unique transmission that enables a manual to do automated gear changes or shifting without the driver needing to step on the clutch pedal or using the shift lever. It works just like an automatic but benefits from the reliability and fuel efficiency of a manual.

Besides the new AGS, the new S-Presso also comes with a 1.0-liter K10C engine. It comes equipped with Engine Auto Stop Start System (EASS) that automatically stops the engine when the vehicle is in idle to prevent unnecessary fuel consumption.

In addition, its compact body size is combined with a spacious 239L luggage space that allows for the accommodation of bigger items.

To stay entertained while on the road, the new S-Presso AGS, comes with a new generation display audio system that is equipped with a smartphone linkage and information display. It also comes with an overhead microphone to allow for hands-free conversations. There are also audio controls on the steering wheel with hands-free bluetooth control.

For safety, the new S-Presso also comes with passive and active safety features. It is now equipped with an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) that allows the passenger to maintain control of the car while cornering or in tricky situations. The ESP ensures there’s always traction while accelerating or traversing wet pavement or slippery roads. This advanced technology also automatically regulates engine output and selectively applies the brakes to help the driver maintain control and ease while traveling. Another feature is the Hill-Hold Control, which keeps the vehicle from rolling backwards on steep slopes.

The new S-Presso AGS comes in four colors: Sizzle Orange, Metallic Granite Gray, Fire Red and White, competitively priced at P660,000 for AGS variant and P620,000 for manual transmission.
