Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez and Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) acting director Atty. Michael Joseph Lorico met on Tuesday, May 9, to discuss plans to build a warehouse for immediate distribution of assistance in the city.

Olivarez said that during the discussion, Lorico suggested the idea of the warehouse, where relief goods will be placed for immediate distribution to residents who are in need of assistance or victims of any calamities.
He also said the possible transfer of the funds for senior citizens' social pensions was also discussed during the meeting.
The mayor also thanked the DSWD for putting up a satellite office in the city
located in Barangay Baclaran.
Olivarez said the satellite office will make access to the agency more convenient for city residents and other people from Pasay, Muntinlupa and Taguig since they will no longer travel to their Legarda office in Manila for assistance.
Also present during the meeting were City Administrator Att. Voltaire dela Cruz and CSWD head Vivian Gabriel.
