Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos gave a special shout-out over the weekend to fellow Ilocano Jether Corpuz, who was the highest ranked passer in the 2022 Bar examinations among takers from Mariano Marcos State University.

"Congratulations to all the 2022 bar passers, especially to all the new Ilocano attorneys throughout the province!" Marcos, the House senior deputy majority leader, wrote in a Facebook post.

"A job well done to Atty. Jether K. Corpuz for ranking 12th in the bar examinations! You have made your fellow kakailians proud!" he said.

Corpus garnered a score of 86.75 percent.

A pubmat that was posted along with Marcos' message stated that the particular university up north was the fifth top performing law school in the country as far as the Bar exams were concerned, notching a 75 percent institutional passing rate.

The rookie congressman is the eldest son of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
