QUEZON -- The Coast Guard-Southern Quezon cancelled all types of sea travels in Quezon in anticipation of the approaching Tropical Depression Amang’ on Tuesday, April 11.
PCG-Southern Quezon released a travel advisory that no sea vessels are allowed to set sail from 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (April 11) onwards.
The advisory covers all the travels from Lucena port to Marinduque, Masbate, and Romblon, as well as from Atimonan and Gumaca ports to Alabat island and vice versa. The trip from Real port to Polillo Group of Island (POGI) has also been suspended.
The PCG-Southern Quezon reminded everyone to follow the guidelines and to avoid any mishaps.
Some parts of Quezon and the Bicol region have been placed under Tropical Cyclone wind signal Number One by PAGASA.
The travelers are advised to stay safe and take precautions during this time of inclement weather while the PCG will continue to monitor the situation and update the public.
