Partly cloudy weather, isolated rain showers to prevail across PH
The easterlies, or the warm air coming from the Pacific Ocean, will be the dominant weather system that will bring partly cloudy weather over most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday, March 21.
PAGASA said the easterlies may also bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to the entire archipelago.
The public is advised to remain vigilant as severe thunderstorms may also cause flash floods or landslides, especially in areas prone to these hazards.
With the prevalence of easterly winds, PAGASA said the northeast monsoon or “amihan” season may end this week, which will signal the start of the warm and dry season in the country.
The country’s warm and dry season is usually from March to May.
