While the transport strike has already ended, in-person classes for students and physical reporting for the personnel of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman will resume next week.

In a memorandum issued Thursday, March 9, the UP Diliman Office of the Chancellor reiterated that online mode of classes will continue this week.
Meanwhile, face-to-face activities as well as physical reporting to work will resume on March 13.
In Memorandum No. GAC-23-01 issued to all deans, directors, and heads of academic units as well as to all vice-chancellors and heads of administrative units, UP Diliman Officer-in-Charge Gonzalo Campoamor II announced the shift to face-to-face activities and physical reporting to work after the public transport strike.
“With jeepneys withing and in the vicinity of the campus slowly normalizing operations beginning today, work and classes will resume face-to-face mode starting 13 March 2023,” Campoamor said.
“Online mode remains this week except for personnel of offices performing essential functions who shall continue to physically report for work,” he added.
On March 3, the UPD Office of the Chancellor instructed the temporary shift of face-to-face classes and work to online mode due to the transport strike scheduled on March 6 to 12.
However, the transport strike in the country supposed to last for a week ended on March 8 after the Malacañang announced the planned “restudy” of the implementation of the public utility vehicle (PUV) modernization program.

With the end of the transport strike, many higher education institutions (HEIs) that shifted to flexible or distance learning as well classes in most schools that offer basic education --- both public and private --- resumed the conduct of face-to-face classes on March 9.
