CAMP Marcelo Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Several policewomen in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) were honored for their outstanding and meritorious achievements in line with the 2023 National Women's Month with the theme "We for gender equality and an inclusive society."
Medals were given to policewomen who best represented police operations in their areas of responsibility in a ceremony at the Police Regional Office 2 Grandstand here on Monday, March 6.
Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to Capt. Marietta Salviejo for the successful implementation of warrant of arrest;
Master Sgt. Farah Gonzales for the successful conduct of anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation;
Medalya ng Papuri to Senior Master Sgt. Marie Cuaresma for the successful service of warrant of arrest for the crime of statutory rape;
Corporal Jayzle Andres for the successful arrest for violation of RA 7610;
Patrolwoman Rhea Taguinod for the arrest of alias “Emy” for violation of RA 3019.
Col. Marcial Mariano Magistrado IV, deputy regional director for administration, graced the event with guest of honor and speaker Dr. Mildred F. Banatao.
Banatao in a message stressed the importance of gender equality for people of all ages and regardless of sexual orientation.
She noted the power of women and their achievements in policy making and nation-building.
The PRO2 observes National Women's Month each year to recognize the contributions made by women in the police service to the aims and objectives of the PNP.
