The Las Piñas City government announced the lifting of face-to-face class suspension as the transport strike ended on Wednesday, March 8.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar ordered the resumption of face-to-face classes in all public
schools on Thursday, March 9, since most of the public utility vehicles started
to ply their routes.
Aguilar ordered on Tuesday, March 7, public school principals and teachers to continue holding alternative learning modalities from March 8 to 10 due to the strike of public utility vehicles.
She said that since the transport strike has already ended, teachers and students may now go back to school for a face-to-face classes.
She said the lifting of face-to-face class suspension is for all public schools only while the private schools may decide on when will they resume theirs.
The mayor said Malacanang announced the end of the strike after holding a meeting with transport group leaders regarding the government action on the PUV modernization plan.
