Actress Bianca Umali has finally ended speculations about an incident that happened years back, wherein she supposedly almost hit boyfriend Ruru Madrid with her car out of jealousy.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, the seasoned TV host directly asked the 23-year-old star about it.
"Let's address the elephant in the room. People are talking about an incident na nangyari sa likod ng Megamall kung saan nagselos ka at muntik mong sagasaan si Ruru," he began.
"Tama ba yung narrative na yon? Mali ba? Pagseselos ba yon? Was that declaring 'This is my territory and nobody messes with me?' What was that?," Boy asked Bianca.
The Kapuso actress quipped: "Thank you very much for a wonderful question, Tito Boy. I love it!"
She went on to confirm that it indeed happened.
She cleared though that some of the details have been exaggerated.
"To clear things out, there was an incident. Pero yung lahat po nung lumabas na istorya na nababasa niyo to the point na muntik ko nang masagasaan, it was exaggerated at some point," she explained.
According to her, she did not talk about it that time because she didn't see the point of clearing her side of the story.
"So, I just let it be na ganon yung tingin nila, but yes, there was an incident."
Asked if it stemmed from jealousy, Bianca indirectly gave an affirmative response.
"Mayroong history na pinanggagalingan. May pinanggagalingan," she noted.
"...I think kaya ko nasasabing selosa ako, especially when it comes to my relationships, is because ganoon po ako ka-grabe magmahal, that I am territorial," Bianca said.
"And yung pagkaselosa ko po, alam ko na nasa lugar. Kapag alam ko na mayroon akong pagseselosan, doon ako nagseselos, and I have been right all the time."
Bianca reiterated that Ruru knows this.
As to a prior revelation that she and Ruru broke up, Bianca revealed it happened after the said incident.
"That was eight months din. Almost a year, we had to," she said.
Though they continued their communications.
"We were in touch kasi ganun namin kamahal yung isa't-isa, Tito Boy," she maintained.
"I mean, even ako, kahit na in times na nasasaktan ako, kapag mahal kita, mahal kita e. Okay lang na masaktan ako, it's part of it," she added. "So, we were in touch, but Ruru did everything that he could to save the relationship as well and to win me back."
And Bianca also did so much work to forgive and to say: "Okay, let's start again, because I love you."
Communication is now a huge part of their relationship.
"Especially at this point na we're transitioning to adulting talaga as a couple," she said.
"So, malaking bagay sa amin na palagi kaming nag-uusap at handa kaming pakinggan at tanggapin kung ano yung sinasabi o nararamdaman ng isa."
Late last year when Ruru finally made public their relationship, revealing they have been dating for four years already.
