Member of criminal group nabbed in Taguig

A suspected member of a criminal group was arrested by the police in Taguig on March 4.  The police identified the suspect as Marc Fernan Yabes, 32, tagged by the police as an alleged member of the Turtosa Criminal Group.  The suspect and gun seized by the police (Photo from SPD)
Yabes is accused of being involved in a robbery holdup that happened along Pagulayan Street corner Gen. Luna Street in Barangay Poblacion, Makati on March 4.  After the incident, the Makati police conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the suspect’s arrest along Camachile Street, Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig.  The police recovered from the suspect a black sling bag containing Philhealth ID and earphone,  a replica handgun with a magazine, and a vehicle.  The suspect will be charged for robbery and violation of Republic Act 10591 or the  Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
