Caraga police net P1.2-M illegal drugs

CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police arrested 11 drug suspects and seized illegal drugs worth P1.2 million in a week-long operation in the Caraga region last week.

Police Regional Office 13 director Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II said the suspects were arrested in nine successful anti-illegal drug operations since Monday, Feb. 27.

“The almost week-long operations conducted last week by our field troops also led to the confiscation of 183.147 illegal drugs with a total standard drug price of P1,245,399.60,” Labra said.

Police recovered an undocumented firearm and a grenade from two suspects.

Labra said police remain all-out in the campaign against illegal drugs in Caraga.

He appealed to the people to support the campaign.

“In our aggressive fight against the proliferation of illegal drugs, let us remember that the success of our police operations co-exists with the cooperation and support coming from the members of the peace-loving community of Caraga,” Labra said.

Drug-related charges are being prepared against the suspects.
