Las Piñas Mayor Imelda Aguilar announced the suspension of face-to-face classes in all public schools in the city from March 6 to 7, due to the nationwide strike by the transport groups.
Aguilar said the city School Division Office is ready to hold online classes as an alternative mode of teaching.
She said private schools in the city government are leaving the discretion to the schools on what alternative learning method they will implement during the duration of the transport strike.
The mayor advised all private school teachers to coordinate with their school directors for the details on the learning modality they will implement in teaching students during the strike.
Aguilar said two coasters and a truck will be deployed by the city government to help commuters on March 6 to 12.
She said the coasters and the truck will help ferry commuters from Zapote Road going to Honda Daang Hari, Zapote to Kabihasnan in Parañaque, and along Marcos Alvares Road.
