Former NPA rebel surrenders in Nueva Ecija

NUEVA ECIJA -- A member of the New People’s Army surrendered to the authorities, and turned over his gun on Friday afternoon, March 3, the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office reported on Saturday, March 4. ‘@ KA Zander,’ 24, is a native of Poblacion Estancia, Ilo-Ilo City and presently residing in Mapulang Lupa, Pandi, Bulacan. He was a member of the New People’s Army under Gerilya Front of Narciso Sub-Regional Military Area 4A4. Several law enforcement units conducted a Special Intelligence Operation that resulted in the voluntary surrender of the former rebel. . Ka Zander also turned over subversive documents including Espesyal na Kursong Masa (ESKUM), Lipunan at Rebolusyong Pilipino, and Batayang Kursong Pampulitika. Meanwhile, KA Zander will receive benefits such as cash incentive, livelihood program, medical, educational, housing, and legal assistance incorporated under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP). Nueva Ecija Philippine National Police said it will continue supporting E.O. No. 70 and make Nueva Ecija free from any kind of local terrorist movement.
