Two female minors rescued from human trafficking, Chinese national nabbed in Pampanga

City of San Fernando, Pampanga -- Two female minors were rescued from human trafficking with the arrest of a Chinese national in an entrapment operation on Tuesday, Feb. 28, here. Police Regional Office-Region 3 director Brig. General Jose S Hidalgo Jr. said Chaoping Tong, 60, was arrested by joint personnel of different law enforcement units in an entrapment and rescue operation at Northville, Phase 1, Calulut, in the City of San Fernando. The ‘pimp,’ identified as alias ‘Shine,’ managed to escape. The victims (their names withheld) are temporarily under the custody of authorities while appropriate charges for violations of RA 9208 as amended by RA 10364 and RA 7610 are being readied against the suspect.
