62 wanted persons busted in weeklong manhunt operation in Cordillera
CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Sixty two individuals, including five most wanted, were arrested in manhunt operations conducted by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera from February 19 to Feb. 25.
Records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) showed that Benguet Police Provincial Office has made the highest number of arrests with 29, followed by the Baguio City Police Office with 15 arrests.
The Abra PPO came next with six arrests, Kalinga PPO with four arrests, Mt. Province PPO and Ifugao PPO with three arrests each, and Apayao PPO with two arrests.
Of these arrested individuals, five were listed as top most wanted at the provincial level.
As a result of intensified police visibility and campaign against criminality, 63 municipalities in the different provinces of the region and two police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful as PROCOR recorded zero crime incidents during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in the 23 municipalities of Abra, five municipalities in Apayao, eight municipalities in Benguet, six municipalities in Kalinga, 10 municipalities in Mountain Province and 11 municipalities in Ifugao.
Aurora Hill Police Station 6 and Kennon Road Police Station 8 also recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City.
