Member of K-pop boy band ASTRO leaves group 


A member of K-pop boy band ASTRO has left the group after the expiration of his contract. 

Korean agency Fantagio announced on Feb. 28 that ASTRO member Rocky has ended his exclusive contract and left the boy band.

“First of all, I sincerely thank the fans who love and support ASTRO. After having a deep conversation with Rocky, who has been with ASTRO as a member for the past seven years, we have concluded our exclusive contract and activities as an ASTRO member,” it said. 

It added, “We would like to express our gratitude to Rocky for doing his best as an ASTRO member for a long time, and we will sincerely support Rocky's future in the future. We also thank the many fans who supported and watched Rocky, and ask for unchanging interest and support for Rocky, who is starting anew.”

“In the future, ASTRO will be maintained as a five-member system, and the members with Fantagio will focus on their group, unit and individual activities, and will give full support so that they can be active in various fields. Please give lots of interest and support to Astro members in the future.”

The remaining members of ASTRO are Cha Eun-woo, MJ, Jinjin, Moonbin and Sanha.
