BI reminds foreign residents of the March 1 deadline of annual report filing

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has reminded resident foreigners of the March 1 deadline in the submission of annual report.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said foreigners with immigrant and non-immigrant visas are required to file the report within the first 60 days of the year under the Alien Registration Law.

Also included in the filing of the the report are refugees and stateless aliens.

The filing of the report has been moved from the BI main office in Intramuros, Manila  to Robinsons Place Manila and SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City to make it more convenient for aliens to submit the documents.

Tansingco said the papers may also be filed with the bureau's field offices nationwide.

He said filers must first register  with the BI’s online registration system via http://e-services.immigration.gov.ph. before going to the BI office.

Based on the guideline, foreigners must present their original ACR I-Card, valid passport and pay a P300-annual report fee and P10-legal research fee.

Foreigners who are out of the country during the reporting period may file the same within 30 days upon arrival.

For foreigners below the age of 14, their parents or legal guardian may submit the report.

Senior citizens and persons with disability are exempted from personal appearance, and may file through a representative with a Special Power of Attorney.
