Diocese of Novaliches Bishop Roberto Gaa, Novaliches Bishop Emeritus Antonio Tobias, and guest priests from the different parishes and communities in the diocese and Barangay Talipapa in Quezon City led the recent dedication of the church and consecration of the altar of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Quezon City.
Local government officials led by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, members of the clergy and religious groups and the lay faithful attended the special event.
Parish priest Rev. Fr. Victor Emmanuel Clemen encouraged the faithful to participate and be more active in the programs of the parish to deepen one’s faith as well as to strengthen the Church.
“The dedication of the church is an important event in local churches. I am encouraging our parishioners to be more active in their communities. Let us show that our Church is alive particularly when it comes to charity and spiritual works,” said Fr. Clemen over Radio Veritas.
The parish, which is now more than four decades old, the priest said, continues to grow strong as parish officials implement more programs for the spiritual growth of the faithful. It is located in Novaliches, Q.C.
“Our mandated religious organizations in the parish are very active as well as the BECs (Basic Ecclesial Communities). Many have gone back to church with the ease in Covid-19 restrictions and showing support to the parish,” Fr. Clemen said. (Christina Hermoso)
