LTO's PITX Licensing Center generates P16.8M revenue since February 2022
The licensing center of the Land Transportation Office at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) has generated P16.8 million in revenue after issuing more than 44,000 driver’s licenses and permits since it opened in February last year.
Roque Verzosa III, director of the LTO-National Capital Region West, said the PITX Licensing Office headed by Ella Bautista is one of its satellite offices which features features state-of-the-art facilities that can serve at least 150 clients per day who want to renew their existing driver’s licenses as well as new driver’s license applicants.
“With this, the PITX Licensing Office was able to issue 44,765 driver's licenses and permits and generated a total revenue of Php16,812,140.00 to government coffers,” said Verzosa.
He said a practical driving test course is also present at the parking area of PITX and is also open during Saturdays as part of the program of LTO chief Jose Arturo “JayArt” Tugade.
Seminars on road safety are also being conducted for public utility drivers at the terminal, he said.
The LTO previously stated that the opening of the PITX-Parañaque Licensing Center serves passengers in the area, as as well as residents from the cities of Parañaque and Las Piñas, and the province of Cavite.
Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the LTO said, are also being served by the Parañaque Licensing Center, which is ready to serve clients for:
1) Student Permit Application
2) License Application (New and Renewal)
3) Miscellaneous Transactions
4) Change classification from non-professional DL to professional DL
5) Change classification from professional DL to non-professional DL
6) Additional Restriction Code
7) Duplicate license
Verzosa said special lanes were also installed for senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWD), pregnant women, OFWs, and PITX passengers who will renew their driver’s license (with complete requirements) but are departing within 30 minutes.
