Husband sentenced to life for killing Filipina wife in Colorado in 2019


A man in Colorado, United States will spend the rest of his life in prison without the opportunity for parole after he was found guilty of killing his Filipina wife who had been missing since 2019.

Dane Kallungi, 38, of Colorado Springs was arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 16 for the murder of his wife, Jepsy Amaga Kallungi, 26.

According to a report from KKTV 11 News on Feb. 21, Kallungi was found guilty of first-degree murder and tampering with a human body.

Police earlier said the last time anyone had heard from Jepsy was on March 20, 2019.

Kallungi allegedly killed his wife by strangling her and burying her remains.

The body of the 28-year-old victim has not been found until now.

Jepsy moved from the Philippines to the US in 2017 to marry Kallungi after meeting him on a dating website.
