The Antipolo City Anti-Drug Abuse Office (ACADAO) is visiting public high schools in the pilgrimage capital of the country for an awareness drive against illegal drugs.
The office of Mayor Casimiro “Junjun” Ynares, III said the lectures are being given to high school students, particularly in public schools, to make them aware of the ill effects of prohibited drugs on their well-being.
Recently, the ACADAO visited the Dalig National High School in Barangay Dalig, Antipolo City, where students were given the opportunity to ask questions to the lecturers regarding topics on illegal drugs.
Aside from the city government initiative, the Antipolo City Police Station also has a similar drug awareness seminar in private and public schools in the city as part of the Police Community Relations program of the Philippine National Police.
Contact numbers of police authorities and government agencies were also given to participants during seminars.
