49 couples exchange vows in Ako Bicol mass wedding

FORTY-nine couples exchanged vows during the ‘Kasalang Bayan’ sponsored by Ako Bicol party-list in Legazpi City, Albay on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023. (Niño N. Luces) LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Forty-nine couples from the second district of Albay province exchanged vows at the "Kasalang Bayan" organized by Ako Bicol party-list on Saturday, Feb. 25. Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co said that 29 pairs from this city, nine from Camalig town, and 11 from the municipality of Daraga were married in the ceremony officiated by Rev. Fr. Leandro Murillo at the Saint Raphael Church here. Co said Ako Bicol fully paid for the event, from the church up to the reception at Saint Ellis Hotel, one of the elegant hotels here. Couples received a sack of rice, cash, and other gifts from Ako Bicol and Albay Rep. Joey Salceda.
