MB Daily News Update: EDSA spirit lives on; EU team says PH human rights situation better under PBBM admin

It’s been 37 years since the world-famous EDSA People Power Revolution, and the Social Weather Stations (SWS) said that six of 10 Filipinos still believe that EDSA’s spirit lives on.

It has also been six years since former senator Leila de Lima was arrested on drug charges, and many have called on the Marcos administration to set her free.

A group of European Parliament members have assessed that the human rights situation in the country is now better during the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., much better than that during the leadership of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

The main suspect in the robbery-slay of a New Zealand tourist in Makati has surrendered to authorities, and has denied involvement in the street crime.
