Floyd 'Money' Mayweather stars in Filipino multi-genre group SV SQUAD featuring business moguls of Frontrow

Clockwise: RS Francisco, Floyd Mayweather, Sam Versoza Jr., and SV3

SV Squad has released a music video in time for Floyd Mayweather’s birthday and it features the multi national company business moguls, RS Francisco and Sam Verzosa Jr.

“One Man Army” by SV3, Mstryoverse ft. Tommie King is purely about dedication, motivation, hardwork and power to influence the youth with an independent and successful mindset just like how the branding of Frontrow is, “the business of changing people’s lives”

Led by Sam “SV3” Verzosa III, the group has been releasing back-to-back music videos to entertain and inspire their growing fans with quality music.

We had a chance to interview SV3.

“One Man Army” is a truly inspirational song. What draws you to create and collaborate with Frontrow?

RS Francisco and Sam Verzosa are both an inspiration to me. RS being practically like a big brother to me, helped me when I was just starting as a businessman. He used to be in the field of advertising prior to Frontrow and a well respected one in his field, I look up to his craft. Kuya Sam has always been there for me as a brother who looks after his siblings. Frontrow is my gateway to meet people in different walks of life.

Mstryoverse and Tommie King has a mentality of a champ, just the way I perceive things to be. That is why I invited them to create one for Floyd Mayweather.

Your brother Congressman Sam “SV” Verzosa Jr. is an accomplished man, do you want to follow his footsteps in politics?

I am an SV, i was born to be the 3rd of the SVs. I may be the third, but I am destined for a different path and my big brother and I’s purpose is directed to one goal and that is to pay it forward. I do not want to disregard what God has planned for me in the future, who knows where I will be led, but at the moment, I am focusing on what I do best and what matters the most in my chosen field.

Like my late father always say, “Nak, hiram lang ang lahat ng meron tayo, pangalagaan at ibahagi mo”

I am an architecture graduate but fate led me to entrepreneurship. Pandemic hit, and an iconic rapper, Curse One boosted my confidence to pursue what I enjoy the most, and that is music. It paved a way to combine my passion for music, art and business altogether.

A path to help, a path to share my resources and a path to lead today’s generation to a direction they have never imagined.

Most of your music are motivational, what inspires you to write?

The youth today, most especially music, unconsciously inspires and motivates the listeners. The lyrics are so important that it imprints a message on a listener.

As they say, words are so powerful, when you repeat it over and over, it consumes your mental state that’s why I have been helping several artists publicly and sometimes anonymously.

This inspires me more and more to try to lead by example and fortunately, the group I am in (SV Squad) are humble and go getters like me. We practically have the same mentality and that is loyalty and brotherhood.

From our lives and experiences, we write our own verses, help each other grow and improve.

What makes you unique growing up compared to other artists?

We used to live in Sampaloc experiencing struggles like a normal working class family. My father lives from paycheck to paycheck but strived so hard to give us a life he thinks we deserve. I saw how dedicated he is, that is why I perceive him as a man with a heart of steel, while my mother is the light, confidant and comfort in the family. My parents were both hardworkers and experience taught us to pray hard and excel in what we do without dimming anyone’s light.

Some parents gave up on their dreams and the cycle with their children went on. I would like to break the toxic cycle and help those kids pursue their dreams and live a life they have never dreamt of or atleast change their mindset.

There are a lot of collaborations with local artists, who are the official SV Squad?

It’s more of a pact of loyalty and fate since it all just started by meeting Allegra and then introducing Mstryoverse, and bringing the artists to the house for a collaboration for my birthday.

SV Squad has 6 members all in all. Samuel “SV3” Verzosa III being the founder, entrepreneur and artist, Keith “Allegra” Lardizabal being the music producer and artist, Alexis “Mstryoverse” Manuel our A&R and artist, Jake “Jake P.” Piedad, Kyle “Kxle” Sarikula and John Stephen “JSE” Enriquez.

Are you planning to join a label or become one since you are already producing music videos?

Having a label is our vision and goal, given that a lot of artists are telling me to create one. Being part of a label, isn’t what we are looking forward to at the moment, unless the offer is really good for everyone. We have all the means to create one but we feel like we just want to focus on the group at the moment.
