AirAsia PH: international route recovery almost complete

AirAsia Philippines expects to close the first quarter of 2023 with most of its international destinations reinstated after re-opening flights to Macau, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, on top of the now active Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Seoul routes.

“Our international recovery is almost complete with the relaunching of the remaining China routes next month," AirAsia Philippines Head of Communications and Public Affairs Steve Dailisan stated Monday, February 20.

The budget airline has also resumed its services in the most preferred tourist destinations among Filipinos, such as Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

AirAsia Philippines is also piggy-backing on the high inbound and outbound traffic at the Cebu-Mactan International Airport (MCIA) which registered more than 500,000 international passenger traffic in 2022.

With its current service to Seoul, leisure travelers can also fly four times a week from MCIA to the city of Taipei, Taiwan beginning March 2, 2023.

To make international travel more attainable, AirAsia is offering promotional one-way base fares of P922 from Manila to Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Seoul, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao, for bookings beginning today until February 26 for travels until August 31, 2023.

To facilitate check-in, security, and immigration procedures, AirAsia advises guests on international flights to be at the NAIA Terminal 3 at least four hours before their scheduled flight.
