BALER, Aurora – Sen. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go on Sunday, Feb. 19, graced the 44th foundation anniversary of the province of Aurora which coincided with the 135th birth anniversary of First Lady Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon here.

In an ambush interview with local media, Go urged the government to run after people behind the multi-million peso smuggling of onions which resulted in the uncontrolled price increase of the commodity in the last quarter of 2022.
"Dati po naiiyak lang tayo pag naghihiwa tayo ng sibuyas, pero ngayon naiiyak na agad tayo pag nakita ang presyo nito (We cry when he slice onions but now we cry when we see the prices)," he lamented.
Go reiterated his support for programs that benefit the people of Aurora.
He visited patients and frontliners at the Malasakit Center at the Aurora Memorial Hospital in Barangay Reserva here.
The chairman of the Senate Committee on Health opened a super health center in Barangay Dinadiawan in Dipaculao, this province.
Go said that 307 super health centers have been built in 2022, with another 322 to be constructed this year.
A super health center is bigger than a rural health unit and caters to patients in far-flung barangays.
