Aside from the scenic views of the Laguna Lake at the Lakeside Park in Angono, Rizal, performances from buskers and mime artists are now entertaining dozens of daily local tourists in the area.

Street performers, or now popularly called buskers, have been frequenting the park as it gets crowded with people, mostly residents of Angono and nearby towns, in the afternoon until early evening.

During a recent weekend visit at the Lakeside Park by Manila Bulletin, two groups of street musicians were spotted alternately singing ang playing instruments to the delight of the crowd that gathered in front of them.

The buskers, mostly in their teens, entertained the crowd by performing their line-up of songs. At one point, the musicians invited the people watching them to sing along or even sing a few lines of the song they were playing.

The buskers told Manila Bulletin that they found the park a nice place to perform as they get to earn some cash. Most of the park goers who liked their performances or were pleased with their acts dropped some coins and bills into the donation box placed in front of them.

In another corner of the park, a couple, dressed as Spider-Man and Spider-Woman posed in front of their audience, mostly kids.

Other mime artists would also frequent the park on some occasions, according to food vendors in the area.

These street performers, especially those in character costumes, also accommodated selfies or group selfies right after their acts or during a break.

Angono’s Lakeside Park was developed as a tourist spot by the lakeshore of Laguna Lake during the administration of then Mayor Gerardo Calderon.
